The SFOpen is a proud member of the World Dancesport Series & Host of the Best of the Best invitational Bronze and Silver Standard and Latin events.
The 2012 Best of the Best Challenge gives each participant the opportunity to focus on improving their dancing in a specific division and the winners the chance to represent one of ten competitions at the Grand Finale in Ohio. It's a focused format of fun, excitement and recognition. Good luck to all the competitors in the 2012 Best of the Best Challenge!. Remember, you've got to be in it to win it!
Here's how it work:
The top student is picked by the overall placement in their single dances at each level.
The top student in their respective level and age category will dance a 45 second freestyle solo in the dance of their choice.
The levels and age categories are listed below.
Age A includes (A1, A2) B includes (B1, B2) and C includes (C1, C2 )
International Style Bronze & Silver Latin & Standard Single Dances in the Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble and Jive as well as Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot and Quickstep
The top student from each age category (A, B & C) will dance a freestyle solo. There will be one winner picked to represent the San Francisco Open at the Best of the Best competition at the 2012 Ohio Star Ball.
